Amazon India has launched Amazon Ayurveda Store to target customers who are looking for alternatives to medicines, for staying fit and healthy. The store was launched through video conferencing by the Union Minister of Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal.
Ayurveda has always been a part of the Indian way of life and we are happy to launch this dedicated storefront.
Manish Tiwary, Country Manager, India Consumer Business, Amazon India.
The Amazon Ayurveda Store aims to give more visibility to products falling under this category. Companies like Dabur, Himalaya, Baidyanath and other emerging brands will benefit from this. Buyers will have better opportunity to take informed decisions. This will also provide a great opportunity for new sellers who want to sell ayurvedic products.
Ayush is the most traditional approach to healing and is part of our rich heritage. Ayush can play a foundational role in maintaining a healthy and disease-free lifestyle, it is more relevant than ever in the ongoing times.
Sarbananda Sanowal, Union Minister of Ayush.
He further said,
I would like to commend Amazon for taking the onus of spreading awareness about Ayush products offered by sellers across India through this initiative and providing impetus to the growth of local entrepreneurs engaged in Ayush business. As a nation, we need to take the necessary steps to encourage small and big companies and startups to focus on making Ayush a part of our daily lives.
The initiative will also increase health awareness among Indians. Customers will be able to search for products related to health solutions like weight management, women’s health, mental wellness, immunity boosters and more on Amazon Ayurveda Store.
Ayush ministry will also promote some products.
The minister said,
Ministry is also promoting the Ayu-Raksha kit, Bala-Raksha kit, and Swasthya Raksha kit developed by All India Institute of Ayurveda for protecting the people from Covid.
The Amazon Ayurveda store will enhance visibility of unique Ayurveda products such as juices, skin-care supplements, immunity boosters, oils and more from small businesses and D2C brands.
So if you want to sell ayurvedic products, register as a seller on Amazon and avail this opportunity.
